I have deactivated IntenseDebate. Its maintainers tell me there is no way to disable pagination of comments, a feature several of my regulars justifiably complained about and I loathed.

I didn’t want to complain the first time around (I don’t go into other people’s houses and complain about the wallpaper), but I read your blog for the comments as much as anything else, and I was never big on any of the features ID added. I found both made it harder to sit down and read all the comments, so I’m a tiny bit relieved that you disabled it.
Also, first post.
Disqus is pretty good, as an alternative.
Good riddance.
This whole fracas highlighted a fundamental truth of development:
Never deploy just before a holiday or weekend. Especially if you’ll be unavailable.
I do miss the threading; it may have encouraged threadjacking, but it made followup discussion much more readable.
